1.Out of the total 60 Members of the Legislative Assembly

8. India announced to contribute $500,000 to a UN rapid
response funding mechanism for the 2015-16 period to support global
humanitarian relief operations.

11. 2nd World Internet Conference held in Wuzen, China which has concluded on 18th December 2015 as jointly organized by Cyberspace Administration of China and People’s Government of Zhejiang, China.
12. Claude and Norma Alvares awarded with Sanctuary Lifetime Service Award on 18th December 2015 as presented by Sanctuary Asia Magazine. Claude and Norma Alvares are the husband-wife in relation who are social workers and environmental activists.
13. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has formally inaugurated the
All-India conference of Directors General of Police (AICDGPs) at Dhordo in white Rann of Kutch region near Bhuj, Gujarat.
14. West Bengal Government has approved proposal for formation of five new districts in the state. With this the
total number of districts of Bengal will increase to 25.
